Privacy Policy

Who we are

GIF Generator AI (gifgeneratorai.org) is an independent website that makes GIFs, sticker GIFs and still images from text prompts. It is not affiliated with OpenAI or Discord. This page says what we collect, why, who else sees it and how to remove it.

What we collect

1. Your account: name, email address and profile picture from the sign-in method you use.
2. What you type and pick: your prompt plus the options you choose (format, quality, style, size, background, frame count, speed, Discord format).
3. Photos you add: a photo you upload to animate or turn into a sticker, resized in your browser before upload.
4. What gets made: the GIF, sticker GIF or PNG files generated from your prompts, and their file sizes.
5. Your account activity: credit balance, purchases and generation history, which we need to charge, refund and show your past files.
6. Device details: browser and device type, so the site works where you use it.
7. Visit counts: cookie-free page analytics (Umami). It counts visits and does not follow you to other sites.
8. Payments: handled by Stripe. We never receive your full card number.

Where your prompt goes

• A safety check first. Before any credits are charged, your prompt and any photo are sent to SeeAPI, our moderation provider, to screen for sexual, hateful and violent content. SeeAPI does not train models on it. It keeps checked content and results without a fixed deletion date and keeps request logs for 60 days. Ask us and we will request deletion from SeeAPI.
• Then to OpenAI. We turn your prompt and options into an instruction for OpenAI's Images API (GPT-Image-2.6), which draws the file. A photo you added goes with it. Under OpenAI's API terms, API data is not used for training by default, and OpenAI may keep it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
• Then to your account. The finished file is saved in Cloudflare R2 so you can download it again. We do not publish, list or sell your files, and we do not use them as site examples unless you say yes. A direct file link opens for anyone you send it to.
• Photos go after 7 days. An uploaded photo is deleted from our storage automatically 7 days after upload. The GIF or sticker made from it stays in your account.
• Kept until you ask. Files and history stay until you ask us to delete them or close your account.
• No training by us. We do not train any AI model on your prompts or files.

Why we use it

• To make the files you ask for and keep your history.
• To take payments, add credits and refund failed generations.
• To send receipts, sign-in links, security notices and support replies.
• To spot and stop fraud and misuse, including prompts our Terms of Service forbid.
• To see, in aggregate, which pages people use, so we can improve them.

Who we share it with

We never sell personal information. We share it only:

• with the companies that run parts of the service: OpenAI (generation), SeeAPI (content checks), Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage), Stripe (payments) and our email provider (sign-in and receipts);
• when the law or a valid request from an authority requires it;
• to protect our users, the public or the service.

Security

Traffic is encrypted, only the people who run the service can reach its systems, and card details stay with Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your choices

You can see, export, correct or delete your data. To delete your files, your history or your whole account, email support@gifgeneratorai.org from the address on your account. We answer within two business days.

Children

The service is not meant for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Updates

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top. For important changes we also tell signed-in users on the site.
